This is an ugly situation going to get worse. This administration is just so corrupt, bad and really sinking the City. Two more discrimination lawsuits also filed. What's to stop any person, especially minorities, to file discrimination suits? City Hall seems to be trying to point this in former Mayor's Administration. It's on the current Mayor now. He gave new contract to Personnel Director. What can you do, send an email to your WC and CAL. Will they listen, nope. But you have commented and at least they have heard you.

When will it become allowable for caucasian minorities to cry discrimination?
I think it is a conflict of interest that any individuals have the power to both ask for and then approve their own pay raises. This is not how companies are run, why should it be OK for government?

Drain the Swamp in Massachusetts!! From an article in the Boston Globe:
"The Massachusetts House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly Thursday to abolish term limits for Speaker Robert A. DeLeo, extending indefinitely the reign of one of the most powerful politicians on Beacon Hill.
The vote came six years after DeLeo put the limits in place, trumpeting them as a blow for more ethical government."
WHAT DELEO wants, he gets and those who tow his line get on good committees, etc. Hmmm, our delegation: Brady, Cassidy, Cronin and Dubois all on board with this scam.

The news makes me sick everyday. And sicker. We may as well consider ourselves communistically run. We never have a say in anything.

Not even sure what to say about this one. If we continue to allow these things to happen, we will have an absolute monarchy in this (choose one) city, state, country. Will we have a chance to vote on this one?

Every form of government has complete control over us and all we do is complain and allow it to continue. Don't you think they know this? This is why they keep getting away with total control. Soon they will be telling you when, where and how to wipe your ass then put a control on toilet paper just because they can do so.
We've had a complete winter without snow. One or two snowfalls and they will be telling us they've depleted their snow budget and we will have to believe them.
Most of our city taxes goes to lawyers to fight their mistakes. One after another. Then they hire someone to check on the people they hired.
We don't have a city government, we have control freaks who like to spend our money for every and anything their heart desires.

Thank you On-line Enterprise!! Today, noted "THUMBS DOWN" to our "Brockton Delegation" for voting for the 40 % raise with weak excuses!! Please take your greedy selves back to your law practice; the MASS Lottery. Cassidy is a Statehouse boy, so no idea where he would go. Dubois ???
You know Delegation, if this raise was given over a span say 4-8 years, 5%-10% is easier to take! Plus, you would not be giving YOURSELVES a raise necessarily. Stop patting yourselves on the back and make way for people who don't have your self-interests.

According to the Herald, DeLeo is going to push to raise taxes and the Globe is reporting that DeLeo will eliminate term limits. Not only does the absurd pay raise give increased salary but even better, increases their pensions. They know there will be virtually no challenge from the voters--there will be temporary grumbling but that will dissipate by voting time.

When I was in college I learned that, to run for public office, one must place the interest of constituents first. Imagine thinking that honor, ethics, and common sense would permeate our bodies of government!
