Light Travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak. <br />We were born with two ears and only one mouth ... Think about it!

Be careful out there, if your a biker, or a driver.
My daughter came upon an accident yesterday where a bicyclist got his legs "mangled" (her words) in an accident with a car.
Even worse, the dad of my son's college roommate was killed in a cycling accident they day before graduation last month.

Truth on the being careful. Brockton residents and drivers are much less aware (or don't care in some instances) about cyclists rights to share the road.
I've just started (finally) cycling to and from the train station each day as part of my commute. It's a vastly different world in brockton as opposed to Cambridge where I work in regards to cyclists. Of course we all know many people's biggest concerns in brockton center on driving everywhere. They don't quite understand that they can't just turn in front of you on your bike, because you do indeed have the right of way.
I'm not some hippie cyclist with a death wish like you see in Boston or Cambridge. Just saying, we need to bike a bit more defensively in brockton than maybe required in other places. Keep your head on a swivel as they say.
Oh yeah, and our roads suck for bikes. No news there.

Thanks for the concern, everyone.
I DO make stupid mistakes, most often when I'm tired on the way home. Then there are the Rubber Neck incidents that get me hopping along the sidewalk as the wheels bounce against the curb. Stupid.
Had my first spill last week, on Court street. You may of seen me if you were sitting at the light. Where the new pavement butts up to the old by N Cary. I hit the 2 inch rise at the seam at a bad angle ~ the bike went out from under me ~ I stumbled a few yards but did not fall. Gathered my wits & retrieved the bike from the middle of the road. No real damage to the bike but I had some handsome bruises the next day. On the way home I was really stupid. I won't tell you about that. I didn't ride again till today ~ carefully.
