Actually, we could do that with deportees if they try to cross the border again.

clifton heights wrote: Has Shot Spotter identified one person yet? It does a great job telling us where the bullets are, at least. We would not have the intelligence to report that ourselves. Sigh.
I don't believe it has the intelligence to identify people, at least not on a first name basis anyway...

Dad, if my experience is any indicator, there is a reason why people have given up on calling 911...dadof2 wrote: Except they don't call 911 either .
Each time I called 911 to report gunfire, I was subjected to irrational questioning.
- How do you know it is gun fire?
- Are you a fire arms specialist?
- What caliper?
- Was it automatic or single shot weapon?
The 911 dispatchers are idiots.....

Violence in COB starting to creep back up. Just because you don't have a murder YET, it doesn't mean the streets are safe.
"Brockton police responded to multiple reports of gunfire on Saturday morning, including one just down the street from a playground. Just after 11 a.m., Brockton police received reports of shots being fired at Warren Avenue and Dover Street. The location is close to James Edgar Playground. Police are currently investigating the incident.
"Earlier in the day, about a mile away, gunshots were reported around 2:10 a.m. at 135 French Ave. Police said 12 rounds were fired there. That was right near the Huntington Elementary School and a playground next to that."
Around the same time early in the morning, there were multiple shots reported at 16 Lilly Ave. as well, on the same block as the Huntington Elementary School.
And you guessed it, no suspects in custody. 11:00 am in he morning and they're shooting near a playground. SMH.

it might make a difference Then again I doubt it.
I would add more time on the jerks if they don't divulge where they got the guns from.

So how does he explain the last week or so?

"A bullet flew through the wall of a Brockton home early Monday morning as police picked up shell casings from at least two guns in the road. ShotSpotter, the city's electronic gunfire detection system, reported multiple gunshots near 81 Ash St. about 12:13 a.m. Police found two .40 caliber shell casings outside 81 Ash St. and two 9mm shell casings in front of 21 Ash St. Around 5:30 a.m., a resident called police to report that they woke up to find a bullet had gone through their wall into the house. No injuries were reported and there were no witnesses who came forward. Police searched the area but were unable to locate any suspects.
"The incident continues a troubling trend of increased gunfire and violence throughout the city. Early Saturday morning, a man was found stabbed twice in the torso behind Joe Angelo's Cafe, 11 Crescent St. The 24-year-old victim suffered a punctured lung."
On Friday, a 24-year-old man was shot twice in the chest during an argument on Tribou Street in a parking lot around 2 p.m. The man was expected to survive.
Shortly after 2 a.m., gunshots were reported outside Bar Dino's, 1002 Main St., as people were leaving the bar. No injuries were reported and two .40 caliber shell casings were recovered.

All the money spent on the newer ShotSpotter and all it does is give a local
vicinity of the shot or shots being fired.
Quote from Enterprise:
ShotSpotter, the city's electronic gunfire detection system, reported multiple gunshots NEAR 81 Ash St. about 12:13 a.m.

" For a second time Monday gunmen fired at one another in a Brockton westside neighborhood. ShotSpotter, the city's electronic gunfire detection system, reported six gunshots outside 61 Sycamore Ave. around 7:40 p.m. About 15 officers descended on the area as they searched for a vehicle that was possibly involved. They were unable to locate any suspects."

"Three people were taken to the hospital after they were shot outside a store on the city's west side early Saturday morning. Brockton police responded to the 7-Eleven, at 662 Belmont St., about 3:13 a.m., for a report of a person who was shot.
"Before officers arrived, police received another call that there was a second victim on scene suffering from a gunshot wound. When police and paramedics arrived, they learned of a third victim who was shot." The police spokesman, LT. Hallisey said he was unaware that the 7/11 was a 24 hour store. Double Sigh.

The Child allegedly met the predator online and lied about her age. Not that it matters. She's a victim no matter age. Why she left school is One Main question. If, and have no facts either way, she left dvhool, why was she dismissed or allowed to leave wo a parent. Perhaps she was never in school. Not sure why SP didn't see anything. A student should be safe even on school grounds.

Raging hormones and curiosity obsess the kids at that age today.
As a matter of fact, boys are now shaving while in school whereas years ago boys at the same age didn't even have peach fuzz.
The kids of today have so much more knowledge than when we were that age, so they should know better. Parents....do you know where your kids are today or know what they do? NO!

Again,I don't give the School a pass. Granted we don't know all the facts. But I hope she didn't walk out of school at 11:45 and no one at the school knew she hadn't returned. It's the schools responsibility to know if a student was dismissed, why they were dismissed and if an adult or guardian knew..
Too many issues have happened over the last couple years. Time to start looking at the Administration, and unfortunately IMO, that includes the Superintendent. Again, it's My personal opinion.
