Finally, when the state refused to grant any more extensions, the Brockton City Council decided to rewrite the rules. Robert S. Creedon and co-sponsored by state representatives Geraldine Creedon, Christine E. Canavan and Thomas P. Kennedy. Kennedy is now a state senator." It's your state representatives at work. Just another reminder that it's not what you know it's who you know. I would love to ask these people why the felt that Brockton could function without a state certified building inspector? At least Deval Patrick did one right thing when he vetoed the home rule petition.. Some people are just not good at tests but may be very qualified. Was there an option to have an Oral Board examination? If you can't pass, you can't pass. Them's the breaks. There will always be people who are not good at testing. That, in itself, means you are lacking something. It's called confidence. Was there an option to just hire someonelse who can pass the test? There are always options.
